Skelpin' (Gaelic for a slap, spank) is one of the nation's premier Irish-American bands. Skelpin' has been known to drive audiences to uncontrollable bouts of foot twitching and hand clapping. The band was started by fiddler/singer Patric Petrie and multi-instrumentalist Tim Foley. With the addition of internationally recognized flamenco guitarists David & Hector Maldonado, and middle eastern multi-instrumentalist, Rowshan Dowlatabadi, Skelpin' performs Irish music fused with the passion of Spain, rhythms of the Middle East, and American romantic soul. The result is a great, foot-stomping, Irish Fusion Band.
